Living Unapologetically and Breaking Out Of Society's Mold with Michele Johnston
It's a new year, which means it's the perfect time to examine whether you are living life on your own terms, or to someone else's (or society's) standards. And if you're like many other women, you'll likely find that in some areas of your life, you are doing things based on old narratives, unrealistic expecations, and someone else's definition of what it means to be "good enough." This week I am joined by the unapologetic Michele Johnston, who left behind a life of coforming to strict ideals to live life as her authentic self - and she is here to help you do the same!
In the episode, Michele and I talk about:
- How narratives we grow up with can contribute to living out of alignment
- What it means to be unapologetically yourself
- The connection between self-care, self-love, and self-discovery
- Why we may outgrow people in the process of living unapologetically
- The impacts of living vulnerably and authentically on our children as they grow and become adults
A little about our guest:
Michele Johnston is the powerhouse behind Fiercely Authentic Coaching. She was raised with strict ideals, married young and became a devoted mother of four. For years, she masked her struggles to fit society's perfect mold. But when her kids grew, Michele prioritized self-care. Pushing a truck full of kettlebells was her "aha" moment, revealing her incredible strength—physically and mentally. Michele dove into fitness and embarked on a journey of self-discovery, self-love, adventure, and grace. Now, as a life and empowerment coach, she empowers fierce women to rediscover their authentic selves, fall in love with their quirks, and live life unapologetically!
